Information And Referral
Services
Information and Referral Services are available
to assist people with disabilities and their family, in locating and accessing resources
which will be helpful to them in developing their abilities for living independently
in the community.
Counseling
Counseling is available on an ongoing basis
though Peer Counseling (provided in an individual and group format) and Self-Help
Groups. This Service is provided at CCILC, but it is not facilities bound.
Advocacy
Camden City Independent Living Center, Inc.
is in existence to operate as a grass-roots advocacy organization. This Center will
utilize it's staff to act on behalf of Camden Disabled Community in order to bring
about necessary change as dictated by this segment of the community. Through advocacy
we will work to protect the rights of Camden City Residents who have a disability.
Daily Living Skills Training
Help is available for any individual who is
seeking to better their skills at such tasks as: public transportation, shopping,
banking, managing your personal care attendant, and learning to manage your own
apartment or home.
